Biography
Best Employement & Immigration Lawyer in New york .
At Stillman Legal P.C., we believe justice isn’t given — it’s fought for.
Founded by Lina Stillman, an immigrant, attorney, and relentless advocate, the firm stands at the intersection of employment and immigration law — two worlds where the stakes couldn’t be higher: your dignity, your livelihood, and your future in this country.
My story is one of resilience and reinvention. Born in Colombia and raised by a single mother in a low-income household, she learned early what determination looks like. She paid her way through college on scholarships, built her first career in television as a commercial producer, and later transformed that creative drive into a passion for justice — trading storyboards and scripts for case law and courtroom strategy.
As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Lina knows what it means to carve your own path and to live authentically, even when the world resists it. That lived experience fuels my mission to fight for those whose voices are often overlooked — workers, immigrants, and families striving for a fair shot.
Fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, Lina connects with clients through both language and lived experience. Her multicultural background allows her to advocate powerfully for people from every walk of life — whether she’s negotiating a six-figure wage settlement or defending someone’s right to remain in the U.S.
Over the years, Lina has become a trusted name in both employment litigation and immigration advocacy, representing hundreds of workers and families across New York and New Jersey. She’s known for her strategic precision, authentic compassion, and fearless advocacy.
Her clients describe her as “la abogada que lucha como si el caso fuera suyo” — the lawyer who fights as if every case were her own.
Before becoming an attorney, Lina worked behind the camera, telling stories that moved audiences. Today, she tells stories that move judges and juries. Her creative background gives her a unique edge: she knows how to frame a narrative, spotlight the truth, and make people feel what’s at stake.
Outside the courtroom, Lina is a community educator and content creator, leading workshops and producing videos that demystify the legal process for immigrant families. Her message remains constant and clear:
