Employment and Immigration Attorney in New York

At Stillman Legal, P.C., justice isn’t given — it’s fought for.
The firm was founded to represent people whose work, immigration status, and future are on the line. The practice focuses on both employment and immigration law because, for many clients, these issues are inseparable. The ability to work, to live safely, and to build a future in this country are deeply connected — and Stillman Legal fights to protect all of it.

A Personal Understanding of What’s at Stake

Born in Colombia, Lina came to the United States as a young girl. Raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly to create opportunities she never had, she earned scholarships, built a career in television as a commercial producer, and later made the decision to become a lawyer — because she understood how much is at stake when someone’s future depends on the outcome of a single case.

A Practice Built on Real Experience

Today, Lina represents immigrants seeking legal status, protection, and the ability to remain in the United States. She also represents workers who have been underpaid, retaliated against, or treated unfairly by their employers. She has represented hundreds of clients in federal and state courts, immigration courts, and before government agencies across New York and New Jersey.

A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, she knows what it means to build a life honestly and without apology. That experience shapes how she advocates for her clients — with strength, clarity, and respect.

Direct Communication, No Barriers

Fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, Lina speaks directly with her clients in the language they are most comfortable with. They understand their case, and they know they have someone standing beside them every step of the way.

From Storytelling to the Courtroom

Before becoming a lawyer, she told stories through a camera. Today, she tells her clients’ stories in court — clearly, strategically, and powerfully — so judges understand what is truly at stake.
As many of her clients have said: “Es la abogada que lucha como si el caso fuera suyo.”
That is exactly how she approaches every case.
